Meet The Staff

My responsibilities at the church include but are not limited to the maintenance of the church. I assist with daily, weekly, and yearly tasks of repairs, inspections and general maintenance. I assist with resetting the church before and after events and hanging signage to inform and encourage the folks we reach out to. I do not do this alone I have other staff members who help and I help as well as a list of members I rely on to get the job done.

Why C3 is special to me?

When I arrived in March of 2023 I asked my daughter Mary Frances if she had a list of churches for us to visit to see where God was going to lead us. She said well Dad lets go down the mountain and see what this Christ Community Church is all about and see if God has a place for us there. So we visited the first time and haven't quit visiting.

Church, actually God-centered church family, is very important to me and wasn't sure if I was going to find a shepherd to guide me as good as the flock I left behind in Louisiana. So I have to say God said, "Well Shan if one want do I'll give you two." The Pastoral staff all of them are uniquely woven together and compliment each other and expertly fit together like red beans and rice. I very much enjoy the staff and people who have all been so welcoming to us. It's a compliment to God and the staff pulling it all together. I am forever grateful to be included in this church staff. This is how God showed me C3 and is why its so special to me.

Name at least two things you do very well.

Helping others, and general house repairs.

Name at least two things you don't do very well.

Listening because I'm hard headed, and learn new things.

Tell us about one of the most fun things you've ever done.

Stacy (my wife) and I went on a two week trip from Louisiana to Sturgis, SD on a motorcycle ride pulling a tiny pop up camper packed with everything we needed. took us two days to get there and three days to come back with a week of motorcycle fun and rides squeezed in between.

If you had two hours of absolute free time, what would you do?

Get on the motorcycle and just ride it's absolutely the funnest thing I love to do.

What is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you?

Once I was on duty as a police officer in Louisiana and a small part of our family (about 10-12 of us) were eating dinner at a local restaurant called Southfield Grill(southern home cooking) and someone covered our entire tab and asked the waitress to keep their identity anonymous. I still try every chance I get to pay that act of kindness forward.
