Ministry Partner Update: Kirk Wilson

Greetings from Parkersburg!  We have had an eventful summer and are now looking forward to football games, soccer practices, and pumpkin spiced everything.

In June we took 18 folks from Parkersburg South High School to Young Life camp at Rockbridge in VA.  They were blown away by the activities, the facilities, and the food.  We had students share with their leader struggles with loss, relationships, and parents divorce.  Some are dealing with issues like addiction and past physical and sexual abuse.  We had many great conversations and our kids experienced the gospel in countless ways at camp.  Many took first steps of faith.

We were blessed to spend the month of July serving at Young Life's camp Saranac in upstate NY.  It was really fun to live in community with other YL staff families and to be a part of thousands of kids hearing about Jesus.

Andrew just started first grade and is going to play flag football this fall.  Eliana will start pre-school and has been doing very well after her heart surgery.  We have a follow-up appointment next month.

This summer we spent a lot of time looking at Romans 15.  We often get frustrated, impatient, and tired in ministry, but God is so good.  He is the God of of endurance and encouragement.  Thank you for partnering with us and for joining voices with us to glorify God.

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

believer...doubter...skeptic

Doubt is natural… Believers need to wrestle with the same questions that skeptics ask. Many believers "inherited" their faith and may have never asked these questions. Both doubters and believers have a moral and intellectual responsibility to examine their doubts and beliefs. C3 is a place that encourages this to happen. Learn more
