Exciting opportunity: Guest Services Team

Posted: December 5, 2016, 7:15PM

Hello C3,

We have an exciting opportunity for you, your family, or perhaps even your community group (small group) to invest in the lives of those who come to our services on Sunday mornings.  You can make a difference by being a part of our Guest Services Team.

What is Guest Services? It’s exactly what the name implies, serving our guest!

What is the mission of the Guest Services Team? The Guest Services Teams mission is to ensure that everyone (from first-time guest to long-time members) who come to a C3 worship gathering, experience an incredible, welcoming and obstacle-free experience. Practically, this means that people attending our Sunday gatherings are made to feel welcomed, safe, comfortable, and valued from the moment they park, when they enter our building, as they find a seat, when they leave a service and as they look to connect more deeply in community.

What do I get to do when I’m a part of the Guest Services Team? You will have the opportunity to hold open doors, welcome people to C3, hand out bulletins, direct people to the restrooms and the kids check-in, introduce guest to the pastors and other members etc.  This job is simple, but very crucial and we want to bring our best to everything we do at C3 to honor Christ and demonstrate His love and the churches warmness to all people.

How often will I get to serve?  We ask that members of the Guest Services Team sign up for at least one Sunday service a month. On that Sunday, you will be asked to come a little early and stay a little after the service so that we can properly greet and thank our guest.  If you would like to serve more than one service a month, that’s great, in fact many members enjoy the role so much they serve every week!

Do I wear a Yellow Shirt?  No yellow shirt required! Dress as you normally would on a Sunday.  You will be given a C3 Guest Services lanyard at the beginning of your shift and will return it to the Guest Services lead at the end of your duties! This change away from the yellow shirts will allow you to jump in and help on weeks where we need a substitute or where we have larger than usual crowds.  You won’t have to go home to get your shirt, but will simply go grab a lanyard.

How do I sign myself, my family, or my Community Group up? Sign yourself up today by clicking on this link http://www.c3wheeling.org/contact/e-mail-the-staff/535 and letting us know in the comment section that you would like  to serve on the Guest Services Team.  A member of the team will then be in contact with you to set-up a schedule that will work for you.  Then check with your community group and your family and if they are as excited as you are, you can schedule them as well!   There is nothing more fun than serving God with the people you love the most.  This is an opportunity to do just that!

Thank you for taking advantage of this great opportunity to serve!

believer...doubter...skeptic

Doubt is natural… Believers need to wrestle with the same questions that skeptics ask. Many believers "inherited" their faith and may have never asked these questions. Both doubters and believers have a moral and intellectual responsibility to examine their doubts and beliefs. C3 is a place that encourages this to happen. Learn more
